Memphis: July 4th, 2013

We moved to memphis on July 1st. We were so excited to have our first celebration of our move on the banks of the Mississippi for the Fourth of July. It was so muggy that day. We packed a picnic of fried chicken and headed down to the river walk, and it POURED! We were stuck under the interstate bridge for a good twenty minutes. After the rain calmed down, we realized we didn't bring bug spray! All of us were being eaten alive until a kind woman let us use hers. Finally, we got dry, bug free and fed, we played on the river walk and enjoyed watching the sun set. We didn't stay for the fire works (they started at 11pm!) but we had so much fun. A great (eventful) start on our journey in Memphis!

The kids loved watching ants crawling on the ledge.

There were a few band playing. Evie enjoyed dancing to the music.

She loved the glo-sticks!
